Introduction
Our two Fireside stores have sold and installed many thousands
of stoves and inserts in Central Oregon . Stoves and fireplace
inserts have become an integral part of many homes here in
our colder climate because they are so enjoyable to be around
and so cost efficient. Historically stoves have been wood burning
only, but in the last 15 years, both gas and pellet stoves
have become quite popular. So, why do stoves and inserts continue
to be so popular here?
1. Radiant heat: Stoves provide an amazing amount of radiant
heat; the kind of heat that really feels good in cold weather.
2. Money Saving: They are exceptionally efficient overall
because they don’t have ducting losses, like central
heating systems.
3. Zone Heat: Additionally, they provide the advantages of
zone heating because they provide the most heat in the rooms
you use the most during the day.
4. Great style: Styling is important because a good stove
will last at least 20 years. Today, many of our stove models
have exciting styling and become much like furniture in your
home. Whether it’s colored porcelain cast iron, soapstone,
Craftsman styled models or traditional models, there’s
a great looking and a great heating stove for every Central
Oregon home style.
The leading brands
Lopi:
We’ve sold and installed thousands of Lopi
stoves over the last 20 years. Lopi wood and gas stoves are
made by the U. S. stove industry’s leading manufacturer
and are very popular because of their durability and style.
Because of this, you are likely to find more Lopi stoves in
Central Oregon than other brands.
Avalon:
We’ve also sold and installed many Avalon stoves. Avalon stoves, like Lopi
stoves, are made by our U. S. stove industry’s leading manufacturer. Avalon
stoves provide a broad choice of styles, from contemporary to craftsman. There’s
a perfect sized and styled Avalon stove for most any Central Oregon home.
HearthStone: HearthStone is the industry’s leading
soapstone brand and provides extra hours of even heat. HearthStone
stoves are available in both wood and gas versions. Their beautiful
cast iron and stone exteriors are literally like furniture
in your home.
Regency/Hampton: Whether it’s wood or gas, steel
bodied or cast iron, Regency stoves provide great value and
style. Regency stoves have been a leader in providing reliable
service. They provide a wide range of exceptionally good looking
and performing stoves. We’ve sold and installed thousands
of Regencys over the last 17 years and have many satisfied
customers.
Harman
Stove Company: Harman builds the industry’s
best and most reliable pellet stoves. Building reliable pellet
stoves requires understanding and mastering some surprisingly
difficult technologies and Harman is the company that has consistently
done this for many years. Not only are they reliable, but they’re
quiet and good looking!
Napoleon Stoves: We feature Napoleon Stoves at our
Reed Market Store because they offer consumers such good value
and they are so well made and reliable.
Vermont Castings:
Vermont Castings historically has been a premium cast iron
stove brand. We’ve sold and installed hundreds of them
over the years. We’ve transitioned away from Vermont
Castings in the last few years however, because of the many
excellent, new cast iron stoves coming from our other manufacturers
and because of our other brands higher level of customer service
in support of our customers.
Stove Installation
Stove installations, whether gas, wood or pellet, can be
complex and require careful planning. There are many details
that need to be considered to insure that they are safe and
perform properly. Fireside has sold and installed most of the
gas and wood stoves in Central Oregon. As a licensed contractor,
we require that a city or county permit is taken out for each
installation, so each of our installations is inspected by
a building inspector.
Our sales staff, managers, installers and service personnel
are exceptionally well trained and skilled in their installation
and operation. In additional to a significant amount of factory
training, our employees are certified by the National Fireplace
Institute and have Oregon Fire Marshal’s propane licenses.
Our commitment to constant training and certification is the
best way of our insuring that the installation and service
work we do for you is the best possible.
Lots of Choices
At Fireside we not only have the industry’s leading
brands on display, but during the heating season we have one
of the Northwest’s largest selection of stoves for you
to choose from.
What we will ask you.
We´ll need to know some things about your home and
heating needs in order to help you choose the best stove:
* Will the stove be a primary heating source?
* How many square feet of your home do you want to heat with
your new stove?
* How well insulated is your home? How high are the ceilings?
Do you have ceiling fans?
* What is your home style: Northwest, Arts & Crafts,
Country/Ranch, Contemporary, Other?
* Will your stove be on an outside wall?
* What fuel type do you prefer?
* What specific features do you want on your stove?
We spend a lot of time with customers, both asking questions
and answering questions, to insure that they choose the best
stove in their price range. We want to insure that after all
the installation work is complete, the stove will be just what
is needed.
