1. Marquis Spas are not the least expensive hot tubs on the market. What makes them better than other brands?

Many things make Marquis Spas better, like:

2. Most hot tub owners want easier water maintenance. What has Marquis Spas done to make maintenance easier?

Marquis Spas has spent several years in the development of their Constant Clean™ water maintenance system. Constant Clean™ makes hot tub water maintenance the easiest in the industry. Ozone, silver salts, and chemical sanitizers by themselves are limited in performance and convenience. Marquis Spas has combined them with a mazzi injector, a mixing chamber, full flow filtration and convenient packaging to create the industry's easiest to use and lowest maintenance sanitizer system.

3. Some hot tubs have more jets than Marquis Spas have. Doesn't this give better hydrotherapy?

No. In fact the hydrotherapy in overjetted spas is actually much worse. It is not the jet count, it's how much water actually is flowing from a jet into areas needing therapy. It's easy for manufacturers to install lots of jets to make a spa look good. These configurations either have too many jets that create sharp, high pressure, surface massage, or too many larger jets with insufficient flow.

Marquis Spas are uniquely designed to have jets with high flow rates and lower pressures. Some of these jets flow 40 gallons of water per minute! This high flow and lower pressure spa design is more difficult to develop but it penetrates deeply into muscle groups instead of just irritating the skin and provides the most effective muscle massage.

4. The Marquis Spas website has a very interesting and animated display of how Trizone™ hydrotherapy works. Just how important is Trizone™ anyway?

Trizone is amazing... if you want the world's best deep muscle, spa massaging. It's only available on Marquis Spas premium series.

Powershift™ in the Marquis Everyday™ series is similar to Trizone™, but it has somewhat less adjustability.

Marquis combines Trizone™ with their unique high flow, low pressure HK40 jetting to concentrate all the pump power on one body area.  Other hot tub brands spread hydrotherapy power over dozens of little jets that are not located where you are in the spa.

Instead of having only 10 to 20 gallons per minute coming through the jets where you are sitting, you can have up to 160 gallons per minute of low, pressure, deep muscle massage on your back, arms or legs.

5. Some hot tubs have a 5 to 6 horsepower rating for their two motors. How is it possible?

Simply put, those ratings are deceptive and not ratings of steady power. A 2 HP motor can be labeled 3.6 HP by manufacturers that want to impress consumers, but 2 HP is all it can continuously produce. Additionally, all spa power is limited by a 50 amp circuit breaker and it is not possible for one brand's two motors to draw 90 amps from a 50 amp breaker.

6. Some hot tubs use a low flow, 24 hour circulation pump for filtration. Is this low flow, continuous filtration effective?

Somewhat, but it is not as effective as the Marquis Spas high flow filtration system. Marquis Spas previously used low flow filtration but that old technology has been replaced by more reliable high flow filtration. High flow filtration also moves a lot of water in a short period of time to very effectively remove built up debris from the water. It's like vacuuming your house with a powerful vacuum vs. trying to do the same work with a little hand held unit. They both work, but one is much more effective.

7. I understand that Marquis Spas have excellent warranties. What makes them so good?

The Marquis Spas warranty coverage (Owner's Protection Plan) is one of the strongest in the industry, but even better than that... Marquis Spas personnel go out of their way to make sure you don't have to use their warranty to begin with. In the unlikely chance that you do need warranty work they do a great job in providing the needed coverage. The Marquis Spas warranty is also unique in that is fully transferable. Most all spa warranties are void if you move your spa or if you sell it. Not the Marquis Spas warranty! The warranty is also only as good as the dealer that supports it.

8. Some spas use full foam and others are like thermos bottles and use an air gap between thin insulation. How energy efficient are Marquis Spas?

Well insulated spas are critically important in Central Oregon with our cold winters. To start with, Marquis Spas are fully foam insulated. We sometimes jokingly tell customers that if they want, we can tear out 3/4 of our insulation to make Marquis Spas like the thermos bottle insulated hot tubs. Well insulated spas are critically important in Central Oregon with our cold winters.

Marquis Spas energy savings start with being filled with premium, closed pore insulation and wrapped in special "Low E" insulating spa wrap. The premium covers not only have 4" tapered foam, but they also have a linear heat seal down the center fold to eliminate a significant source of heat loss. Also, the spa lips are uniquely formed to create an exceptionally tight and continuous seal with the spa cover. Even the pump motors have a special 56 frame design which produces the same power with less heat loss.  Also, every Marquis Spa has an Energy Wizard™ operating cost rating, available at both of our stores, to show you just how little energy each model uses.
