Here’s a little known fact that’s very important during our rapidly increasing energy costs. Our quality gas and wood burning fireplaces have a significant advantage over the typical central heating systems using duct work. Unlike those central heating systems, our “zone” heating fireplaces and stoves do not have “duct losses”. If they are rated at 80% efficient, they put 80% of the available energy into your home.

Central heating system ducting losses run from 25% to 40% or more. This means that our 80% efficient fireplace or stove stays 80% efficient while an 80% efficient central heating system is more likely to be 48% efficient. So, if your natural gas, ducted heating system costs you $300 a month to use in the winter, our zone heating fireplaces and stoves can do it for about $160 a month. And... this does not include the savings from our zone heating appliances that primarily heat the rooms needing to be warmer.
