Pellet Grills

We’ve sold pellet grills for most of the last 20 years, including the popular brands. We’re also one of the few grill retailers that actually provides full warranty service for all the grills that we sell, so we know about pellet grill reliability. Pellet grills are electromechanical systems that have not been particularly reliable even though they have been around for about 20 years.

Too many consumers however, did not have a good pellet grill experience relative to gas grill owners. The typical pellet grills don’t get hot enough to really sear steaks.  Typically, their key components rust out quickly because they are not made of stainless steel.

There’ finally a pellet grill that has overcome the major pellet grill issues and actually can do valuable things that other pellet grills, gas grills and Kamado style charcoal grills cannot do.

Memphis Wood Fire Grills™ by Hearthland Products www.memphisgrills.com is the one brand of pellet grills that do it all plus they’re made in the U.S. These days, the most common pellet grills are made in China and made mostly of mild steel.

1. American made. Memphis pellet grills are made entirely of stainless steel, eliminating the early corrosion failure problems.

2. They get hot! Memphis pellet grills definitely get hot enough to properly sear steaks!

3. Convective baking. With their lids closed, they are also amazingly good for convective baking, because like convective ovens, they have fans that circulate the hot air. I just perfectly roasted a 13 pound turkey by simply rubbing it with seasoned salt, covering it with a light coat of olive oil, baking it at 325F using the included meat probe and removing it when the probe temperature display on the grill showed that the center of the turkey was 160F.

4. Smoking. Memphis pellet grills do an amazing job of slow smoking. They can smoke food for up to 36 hours at a constant 180F. Usually slow cooked pork roasts only need 10 to 12 hours at about 200F to be tender and have a great smoke flavor. While “Kamado” style, charcoal grills can also smoke meat very well, they are much more difficult to get fully loaded with charcoal and kept at 200F for many hours.

5. Best of all. Quite possibly the best Memphis pellet grill feature is their simple and easy to use digital touch pad, located on the left side shelf. Its called Intelligent Temperature Control with Auto Start. You simply press the ON button, press the UP and DOWN arrows to the desired temperature and in about 10 minutes begin to use the grill. Unlike gas grills, the Memphis pellet grill automatically maintains that “set” temperature.

Roasting and baking are extremely easy because the built in meat temperature probe shows what the inside temperature of the roast is.
