Other Stove Information

Installation: Stove installations, whether gas, wood or pellet, put fire in your house. Stove installations can be complex and require careful planning to assure safety and proper performance. Fireside has installed thousands of stoves in Central Oregon over the last 30 years. Whether you’re located in Bend, Redmond, Madras, Sisters, Prineville La Pine or other nearby locations, Fireside installs and services stoves and fireplaces in your area.

2_fireside_otherstoveYou can probably find people that do cheaper installations and that use lower quality materials. However, Fireside is a licensed and insured contractor. Putting fire in your home is not something to “cut corners” with. Fireside requires that all installations have a building permit and inspection. Additionally, our employees are tested and certified by the National Fireplace Institute and state Fire Marshal’s Office to assure the highest quality and best possible installations are done.

Venting and Chimney:

Whether it’s a wood stove, gas stove, pellet stove, wood insert, gas fireplace or wood burning fireplace, Fireside has the venting components to do the job right. Fireside has a large selection of venting and chimney components in stock from chimney caps to complete wood stove chimney systems. Fireside stocks dozens of chimney systems from 4” pellet vent to all sizes of gas direct vent to 6,7 and 8” wood stove chimney and many different kinds of chimney caps. The most important part of chimney systems is knowing which parts are needed for your specific installation. The last thing you want to do is to install an unsafe system because someone thought they knew how to do it. Fireside can provide you with complete manufacturer requirements for proper chimney installation and help you select the proper components.

1_fireside_otherstoveChimney installations can be complex. We have helped people with proper chimney installations for 30 years. There are many ways to improperly install chimney systems and risk burning your house down. The proper way is to first get a mechanical building permit so there is a record of a correct installation. It’s the best “insurance” you can buy. Then, find out how the manufacturer states that their components should be installed for your situation so you will purchase and install the correct ones. You can purchase extra pieces from us and return the unused ones for full credit. Fireside does have NFI certified and state Fire Marshal personnel on staff should you decide to have us do the installation (except for September through November when they can be very busy)
